Join GAOC at Fort Yargo State Park on Sunday, November 12^th.

Start and finish will be in Area B near picnic shelter #4. The only entrance to Ft Yargo State Park is now through the main gate. To get to Area B, enter at the main gate and turn right on the main park road that goes toward the beach. In about 1/2 mile, turn right on a new road to Area B, picnic shelter #4, group shelter B, and the boat ramp. There will be a NJROTC orienteering meet just winding down so parking on the side of the road may be the only option.

Notes

Water will NOT be provided on any course. A camelbak water carrying device is highly recommended, particularly given the warm temperatures. Participants must bring their own compasses, whistle, and water. Additionally, please be respectful of meet and scoring officials by maintaining appropriate social distancing. DO NOT congregate around the scoring tent after you have downloaded.
Pre-paid pre-registration is required. (Registration will open for our volunteer meet directors at 7:00pm on Monday, November 6^th, and will open for other volunteer coupon holders at 8:00pm on Monday, November 6^th. Registration will open to everyone at 9:00pm on Monday, November 6^th.) No paper forms or payments will be accepted on-site.
Participants will be started promptly at the start time they select when pre-registering. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.

Volunteers needed

Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for free (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.

If you are interested in helping out at the start, beginner instruction, search and rescue, or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page or contact the meet director.

Schedule

Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. First start is at 11:45 am, last start is at 12:30pm, with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off all courses by 3:00 pm.

Directions

From Atlanta, take I-85 North to GA Hwy 316 East and go approx. 21 miles to GA Hwy 81. Go North on Hwy 81 for approx. 3 miles to entrance on right. The park address is 210 S Broad St, Winder, GA 30680.
