Join GAOC Saturday, March 30th at Chattahoochee Bend State Park.

We will be at the boat ramp - provided the river doesn't flood. It's been a wet month... Interested in looking at the river level? Here is a gauge that is just upstream from Chat Bend on GA 16: GA 16 gauge 5 feet is great! 20 feet is not...

Since many of us are going to the US Masters the week after this meet, the silver and brown courses will be printed at 1:7500, which is the scale for the brown courses at the Masters. There are two brown courses at the Masters, with the shorter brown like our silver. Also, there are extra courses you can do as a second course for practice: Silver, brown, green and red are as usual, sharing many controls. But the silver extra and brown extra are different (although the extra courses share controls). So you could do the 2 silvers and get two different courses, or the two browns, or the green and the silver extra - and so forth.

Notes

  1. Water will NOT be provided on any course. A camelbak water carrying device is highly recommended, particularly given the warm temperatures. Participants must bring their own compasses, whistle, and water. Additionally, please be respectful of meet and scoring officials by maintaining appropriate social distancing. DO NOT congregate around the scoring tent after you have downloaded.
  2. Pre-paid pre-registration is required. Registration will open to everyone at 9:00pm on Monday, March 25th.) No paper forms or payments will be accepted on-site.
  3. Participants will be started promptly at the start time they select when pre-registering. Please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.
  4. Runners will have the option to run one or two courses using the same e-stick. If you want to run two courses, you must pre-register for both courses. On the pre-registration form, you will select your start time for your first course. At the event, when you are ready to start you second course, come back to the start to be assigned a start time. You must start your second course before 12:30pm.
