Looks like it will be perfect weather for Orienteering on Sunday. The Gold Branch map is a little small so the advanced courses will get to see the whole park from one end to the other and back. But the woods are runnable as long as you don't mind the steep hills, and the deer are plentiful. Full set of courses, white to red, being offered.
The map has been updated to meet the new ISOM (i.e. IOF) mapping specifications. I think the only change is that rootstock are now mapped as a green "X" whereas previously they were a brown "X".
If we have a big turn-out parking may become a challenge so bear with us if we ask you to park a mile down the road on Willeo Rd.
Please pre-register as early as possible so we can ensure we print enough maps. Presently we are expecting a very small turn-out since there is a separate NJROTC the same day.

GAOC offers beginner instruction at 10am at all local meets. Runners may start their course any time between 11am and 1pm with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off the courses by 3pm.
From Atlanta, take GA 400 North to Exit 6 (Northridge Rd). West to Roswell Rd and turn North (right). Cross river, first left onto Azalea Rd. Turn left on Willeo Rd. then bear left to Lower Roswell Rd. Park is approx. 0.5 mile on left. Follow signs.
Typical fees are shown below. Participants may go out on the course as individuals or with a group. E-chip rental is required if you do not have your own stick.
