On February 18th and 19th we will be having a 2-Day local meet with only advanced courses (Brown, Green and Red). All entries must be pre-registered online and pre-paid online. Epunches can be rented online only. You must have completed an advanced course (Brown, Green or Red) at a previous meet to be able to participate and when you pre-register you will be asked to enter the date and location of a meet where you did so.
As usual, the entry fees are $7 per race for members and $10 per race for non-members each day. You will only be allowed to run one race per day. There will be no computer at the Start/Finish, but we will be using epunch and the SI Printer system to capture and print results. If you are unable to attend the event after pre-registering, your entry fees will be refunded.
There will be another much larger 2-day orienteering meet being held at Red Top on the same weekend. This will be the Navy JROTC National Championships and we will be using the opposite map from them each day. Although we will not be using the same courses, we will be capturing all of the maps at the finish until 1 pm on Sunday, February 19th, to maintain the integrity of their event. Your maps will be made available to you after that time.
Our Start/Finish on Day 1 will be in the parking lot at the Park Office. This is NOT the Visitor Center! From Red Top Mountain Road, go left on Park Marina Road just before the Visitor Center if you are coming from I-75. Follow signs for PARK OFFICE and turn right onto Lodge Road. Follow Lodge Road all the way to the Park Office. We will be on your right when you enter the parking lot.
Our Start/Finish on Day 2 will be in the field just beyond the parking lot at Iron Hill. Follow Red Top Mountain Road past the Visitor Center and the Campground from I-75. Take the next right towards Iron Hill Trail and park in the gravel parking lot. Proceed down the gravel road, taking the left fork to get to the field.
Please be very careful on your way to the meets on both days as there may be runners in the roadways.

Runners may start their course any time between 11am and 1pm with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off the courses by 3pm. No beginner instruction will be offered.
From Atlanta, go north on I-75 and take exit 285. Turn right onto Red Top Mtn Rd and follow into Park. Once in the park, follow the orange and white "Orienteer" signs to the start location.
Typical fees are shown below. Participants may go out on the course as individuals or with a group. E-chip rental is required if you do not have your own stick.
