TMAC Site Visit - Recreation Inside the Campus

TMAC offers a gym, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, and horse shoes, in fact we can just about use anything on the campus except for the baseball field, which is off limits.

The gym has an awesome weight room but we don't know if we'll have access to it yet It also has a full-sized basket ball court, which kids may used if they are supervised.

The pool will have posted hours and a life guard, but if kids want to use the pool they must be accompanied by an adult. (One of TMAC's rules is that kids are chaperoned at all times.)

The tennis court looks good but it doesn't have any shade. We need to remind folks to bring a hat and sunscreen.

We may need a volunteer to coordinate bringing things like a volley ball and horse shoes, that our participants can sign out.

Recreation in Helen, GA

Helen, GA is only about 10 miles from TMAC. It's a pretty unique place in that it's an Alpine town. The major attractions here are the German food and the tubing down the river. Check out their website at http://www.helenga.org
