Don Carter State Park
From Atlanta: I-85 north, I-985 north, exit 24, left on GA 129 N, 0.6 miles to right on GA 129 N, 1.6 miles to right on GA 284 N/Clarks Bridge Road, 6.2 miles to right on N Browning Bridge Road, 1.3 miles to slight left on N Browning Bridge Road, 0.6 miles to park.

Dukes Creek at Smithgall Woods
From Atlanta: I-85 north, I-985 north, exit 24, follow GA 129 north to Cleveland. 3 miles past Cleveland right on GA 75 ALT (not GA 75). 5 miles to park (Smithgall Woods).

Fort Yargo State Park
From Atlanta, take I-85 North to GA Hwy 316 East and go approx. 21 miles to GA Hwy 81.  Go North on Hwy 81 for approx. 3 miles to park entrance on right.

Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park
I-85 South to exit 21. South on I-185 to exit 42. Left on US 27 to Pine Mt., then left on GA 354 to the park.

Gold Branch CRNRA
From Atlanta, take GA 400 North to Exit 6 (Northridge Rd).  West to Roswell Rd and turn North (right). Cross river, first left onto Azalea Rd. Turn left on Willeo Rd. then bear left to Lower Roswell Rd. Park is approx. 0.5 mile on left.  Follow signs.

Indian Springs State Park
South on I-75, take exit #205 to Jackson; proceed south on Ga. Hwy. 42 to the park.

Island Ford CRNRA
From I-285 in Atlanta, take GA-400 North. Take exit #6 and go West on Northridge Road, cross GA-400 and take an immediate right.  Go approx. 4/10 mile and turn right on Roberts Dr.  Island Ford is ½ mile on the right.

Joe Kurz
From Atlanta, South on I-75 to exit 237A, GA Hwy 85 (not I-85).  Follow GA-85 South for approx. 40 miles to Gay, Georgia.  Left at the only red light in Gay.  Go 2.5 miles, then left into check in station.

Jones Bridge CRNRA
From I-285 in Atlanta, take GA-400 north.  Go approx. 9 miles to the Holcomb Bridge Rd (eastbound) Exit 7A. Follow Holcomb Bridge Rd. approximately 4.5 miles, turn left on Barnwell Rd., then approximately 0.8 miles to first park entrance on right.

Lake Russell State Park
From Atlanta, I-85 North to GA 316, in Athens take GA 10-loop to US 29 North (approx 10mi), turn right on GA 72 East toward Elberton (32mi).  Turn left on GA 77 (North Oliver St), go 1.2mi and turn right onto Ruckersville Road. Russell State Park is 8 miles down on the right.

From the North
Take I-85 South. After crossing the South Carolina / Georgia state line, take the first Georgia exit (#177) onto GA 77. Follow GA 77 south approximately 30 miles to Elberton, then turn left onto Ruckersville Road. Russell State Park is 8 miles down on the right.

From the East

I-20 West to exit 172 (Hwy 78), follow Hwy 78 to Washington, turn North on Hwy 17, follow Hwy 17 to Elberton.  In Elberton turn right on GA 77 (North Oliver St), go 1.2mi and turn right onto Ruckersville Road. Russell State Park is 8 miles down on the right.

McIntosh Reserve County Park
From Atlanta, go west on I-20 to exit 34, then south on GA 5 to Whitesburg. Go 2 miles past Whitesburg, then turn left on W. McIntosh Circle.

Mistletoe State Park
From Atlanta, go east on I-20 to exit 175, then north on GA-150 for 8 miles, then left on Mistletoe Rd., 2.5miles to the park.

Oconee State Park, South Carolina
From Atlanta take I-85 north into South Carolina. Take Exit 1 and head north on Hwy 11 for 20 miles. In Walhalla, turn left to merge onto SC-28W/Blue Ridge Blvd. In 9 miles take the slight right onto SC-107N. In 2.4 miles, turn right onto State Park Rd.

Paces Mill, CRNRA
From 1-285 in Atlanta, take exit 19 and go south on U.S. Highway 41 .5 miles, left on Akers Mill Road. 1.15 miles, right on Akers Dr. to park.

Palisades East, CRNRA
From I-285 on the North side of Atlanta, take exit 22 and go South on Northside Dr. Go 1.75 miles to Indian Trail, then right to park. Limited parking - Carpool

Palisades West, CRNRA
From Atlanta, take I-75 N to I-285 East.  Take exit 22 off of I-285, turn right.  Turn at next right onto Akers Mill Rd and cross river.  Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel.  Follow signs to park.  From I-285 West.  Take exit
22.  Go straight off of the ramp through the first light.  Turn left at the next light (2nd light).  Turn right onto Akers Mill Rd, cross river.  Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel.  Follow signs to park.   

Panola Mountain State Park (Alexanders Lake)
From Atlanta, go east on I-20 and take exit 71 (Panola Rd), turn right. Turn left onto Snapfinger Rd (GA Hwy 155) and head south. Turn left on Alexanders Lake Rd just past the Panola Mtn State Park entrance and head east. Continue 1.9 miles to parking area at Flat Bridge Rd.

Pickett's Mill State Historical Park
From Atlanta, go North on I-75 to exit 277. Turn left, go to next light and turn right onto GA 92. Go 3.8 miles to Cobb Parkway and turn right. Go 1.5 miles to Hwy 92 (Dallas-Acworth Rd). Turn left, go 6.3 miles and turn left onto Mt. Tabor Church Rd. Follow .8 miles to park entrance on left.

Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge
From Atlanta, go south on I-75 to Forsyth. Take exit 186 East through Juliette about 18 miles. After you cross the Ocmulgee river, go 3 miles to PNWR. Follow the signs to meet site.

Piedmont Park
From Atlanta, go north on I-75/85 (the downtown connector) to 10th street exit, then east to Monroe Dr. Park at Grady High School.

Power's Island CRNRA
This is the parking area on the NE corner of the I-285 and Chattahoochee River crossing.  From I-75, go east on I-285 to exit 22, Northside Dr/Powers Ferry Rd.  Go straight thru the 1st light, then left at the 2nd light & cross I-285.  Continue on Interstate North Pkwy for approx. 3/4 mile and turn right into the parking lot just before you cross the River.

Red Top Mt. State Park
From Atlanta, go north on I-75 and take exit 285. Turn right onto Red Top Mtn Rd and follow into Park.

Sandy Creek County Park
From Atlanta, take 316 to Athens. Get on the 441N bypass. Go about 4 miles, then right on Sandy Creek Road. Follow the signs to the Park.

Sope Creek (north end) CRNRA
From Atlanta, I-75 N to I-285 East.  Take exit #24 and go North on Riverside Dr. to Johnson Ferry Rd.  Turn NW (left), cross the river and turn west (left) at second traffic light, Paper Mill Rd.  Cross the creek and go 0.5 miles, turn south (left) into parking lot.  Call ahead for bus parking information. 

Tugaloo State Park
From Atlanta, I-85 N to exit #173 north on Georgia 17; follow park signs to Gerrard Road, turn right. Go 1.5 miles to Ga. Hwy. 328 and turn left. Proceed 3.3 miles to park; entrance on right.

Sweetwater Creek State Park
From Atlanta, west on I-20 to exit 44. South on Thornton Rd. Right on Blairs Bridge Rd. Left on Mt Vernon. Follow signs to Park.

Vickery Creek CRNRA

From Atlanta, take GA 400 North to Exit 6 (Northridge Rd).  Head West to Roswell Rd and turn North (right).  Proceed approximately 3 miles to downtown Roswell.  Turn right onto Mill St. (opposite GA 120).  Go to first Stop sign and turn right.  Parking is down past the Old Mill on left, lower parking lot.

Victoria Bryant State Park
From Atlanta, go north on I-85 to exit 160. Take GA 51 and 145 toward Royston. On US 29 at Franklin Springs, turn left to park, 1.5 miles.

Watson's Mill Bridge State Park
I-85 North to GA 316, in Athens take GA 10-loop to US 29 North (approx 10mi), turn right on GA 72 East.  Go east approx. 16 miles, going 2 miles past Comer.  Look for sign to park, turn right & follow signs.
